H&M Plans To Open at Natick Mall
The #2 clothing retailer in the world plans to open 400 stores worldwide in 2015.

Hennes & Mauritz, better known as H&M, and one of the world’s largest fashion retailers, plans to open a location at the Natick Mall.
Known for offering fashion-forward apparel and quality basics, H&M said it plans to open its newest location in Massachusetts in Natick in the fall of 2015.

The 17,000 square foot H&M Natick store will include collections for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, with a separate “store within store” sections for accessories and sports apparel.
Since H&M opened its first store on New York’s Fifth Avenue fourteen years ago, the U.S. has been one of the retailer’s most important markets. H&M already has 8 locations in Massachusetts, including Legacy Place, South Shore Plaza, Cambridge Side Galleria and Boston.

For 2015, H&M plans to open 400 stores in 2015, mostly in the United States and China.
Stockholm-based H&M, the world’s No. 2 clothing retailer by sales, said its net profit rose 13 percent to about $760 million for its fiscal fourth quarter ended Nov. 30 in 2014.
H&M now offers American “consumers access to quality fashions at the best prices” at 363 locations across the country, according to a press release.
The first store opens in Västerås, Sweden in 1947, selling women’s clothing. The store was called Hennes.
In 1968, founder Erling Persson buys Mauritz Widforss, a hunting and fishing equipment store. Sales of men’s and children’s clothing begin. The company changes its name to Hennes & Mauritz.
