There are more than 100 grade 6,7, and 8 students in the production. One show tonight and two on Saturday.

Tonight is opening night for the cast of Shrek the Musical at Walsh Middle School.

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire.

There are more than 100 students in the cast and crew.

Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage, and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears.

If you can’t attend tonight’s 7 o’clock performance, there are two shows on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 2 and 7 p.m.

The show is directed by Sheron Doucette and produced by Chris Brindley.
