FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Framingham community group established to help locals get through the coronavirus crisis got recognized on a national TV show on Thursday.
Singer Kelly Clarkson highlighted the Framingham Coronavirus Community Outreach group's efforts in a segment. The group was founded on Facebook by resident Nicole Messier Doak at the beginning of the crisis, and has since grown to over 2,000 members.
The group helps local residents find help with things like getting food or emotional support. The group has also raised over $2,500 through GoFundMe to help buy groceries, and eventually to support the Daniel's Table food pantry.
