Library Foundation Meets Bookmobile Fund Raising Goal

New Bookmobile To Debut Next April

The Framingham Public Library Foundation (FPLF) has met its $150K goal to purchase and equip a bookmobile for the city's library.

“The response from the community to raise these funds has been outstanding,” said Foundation president Ruth Winett. “We had originally thought it might take two years to raise the full amount. But in less than a year, we've reached our goal, thanks to the generosity of the more than 250 individuals and institutions that donated to the project.”

In November, the Foundation plans to hold a donor appreciation event for those who helped the project become a reality. The library's last bookmobile was purchased (see photo) over fifty years ago and was discontinued because of budget issues several decades ago.
