FRAMINGHAM, MA — The state's possible next governor will make a campaign stop in Framingham this weekend.

Attorney General Maura Healey, who launched her gubernatorial campaign late last month, will attend a Framingham Democratic Committee forum on Sunday, according to her campaign. The Framingham stop is one of seven planned across the state this weekend.

Healey is competing against several other Democrats heading toward a September preliminary election, including Boston state Sen. Sonia Chang-Díaz and Harvard professor Danielle Allen. Chang-Díaz launched her campaign in June with endorsements from local elected officials including state Sens Rebecca Rausch (D-Milford), Jamie Eldridge (D-Sudbury) and state Rep. Maria Robinson (D-Framingham).
