Update: Two Charged After Alleged Armed Robbery, Live Explosives Found in Car and Home
Two have been charged with possession of explosives and armed assault after an incident in Marlborough.

Two Framingham residents are facing charges in connection with an alleged attempted robbery and the discovery of explosives and firearms allegedly found inside a motor vehicle.
The incident led police from a vehicle stop in Marlborough to a search of a home in Framingham.

Responding to a call at 2:51 a.m. on Tuesday from a resident on Boston Post Road East saying that a man was outside the door with a gun, Marlborough police found Andrew K. Josefek, 40, with a weapon and two knives. Another firearm was discovered nearby. He had reportedly assaulted a person at 460 Boston Post Road East earlier, according to Police Chief Mark Leonard.
According to the Middlesex District Attorney Miriam Ryan, Josefek, dressed all in black, went to the victim's home and demanded money, and hit the victim in the face with a cell phone.

Police also found that Josefek had been driving from Framingham to Marlborough with Kelly L. Walker, 35. Walker was stopped in the area, and police found a homemade explosive device as well as a shotgun in the car. The Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad was called for assistance. Four of the explosive devices were "live," according to state police.
Members of the State Police Bomb Squad along with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives arrived to assist and were able to secure the explosive devices. The vehicle was then rendered safe and brought back to the Marlborough Police station for further processing.
Both Josefek and Walker, from Framingham, were arrested, and police obtained a warrant to search a Framingham home connected to the incident. Detectives from the Marlborough Police Department, members of the State Police Bomb Squad and Investigations Unit, and agents from the BATFE led officers searched the Framingham home.
Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan announced Tuesday evening that Josefek, 40, of Framingham, and Walker, 34, of Framingham, were arraigned on Tuesday in Marlborough District Court in connection an alleged attempted robbery and the discovery of explosives and firearms allegedly found inside a motor vehicle belonging to Josefek.
Josefek was charged with possession of explosives, armed assault with intent to rob, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, carrying a dangerous weapon, carrying a loaded firearm without a license (3 counts),possession of a large capacity feeding device (2 counts), possession of a firearm without a license (3 counts), conspiracy to violate the drug laws and conspiracy.
Judge Michael Fabbri ordered Josefek held pending a 58A dangerousness hearing scheduled for Thursday, June 30.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. this afternoon the bomb squad, Marlborough Police and Framingham Police executed a search warrant of Josefek’s home which allegedly yielded additional firearms and explosive devices. Those devices were rendered safe by the State Police Bomb Squad.

Framingham police told the news outlet they are headed to 109 Indian Head Road to help Marlborough police execute a search warrant.
