Driver Kills Man Crossing Route 9 In Framingham: DA

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A driver hit and killed a pedestrian along Route 9 on Monday night, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office.

The pedestrian was crossing Route 9 near California Avenue close to the Southborough town line near 9 p.m. Monday. A driver traveling westbound in a small Mazda sports car hit him and then careened into the median, the DA's office said.

The man, who was in his 40s, died at the scene. The DA's office did not release his name pending notification of his family.

The driver stayed at the scene, but was taken to a hospital for minor injuries. The DA's office had not filed any charges as of Tuesday evening.
