State Police Cruiser Crashes On Mass Pike In Framingham
The police cruiser and two other vehicles were involved in the crash, which was causing long backups.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — A state police cruiser and two other vehicles were involved in a crash along eastbound Mass Pike in Framingham during rush hour Friday morning.
The crash was reported just after 7:30 a.m. near the Route 9 interchange. The police cruiser, a box truck, and another car were involved. Backups were stretching as far back as I-495, according to MassDOT traffic maps.
State police said a State Trooper was injured in the crash. The trooper suffered a laceration and was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. A driver of another car involved was also injured and taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
