Meet Framingham's 1st New Year Baby

Framingham Union Hospital welcomed the first baby of the new year around 3:30 a.m. on Monday.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The MetroWest welcomed the first baby of 2024 at Framingham Union Hospital early Monday morning.

Erelin Darianna Garcia was born on Monday at 3:27 a.m. Erelin was born weighing 7 lbs. 13 oz and measuring 21 inches long.

She is the fourth child born to Evelin and Erick Garcia from Marlborough, hospital officials said.

In celebration of their New Year’s baby, the couple was presented with a bottle of sparkling cider with two flutes, a small dish of assorted petite desserts and a bag of baby “goodies.”
