Middlesex DA Identifies Framingham Man Killed In Shooting

The 34-year-old was found dead in a Hayes Street home early Saturday morning.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Middlesex County District Attorney's office has identified the victim in Saturday's fatal shooting in Framingham as Eric Hargrett, 34.

Hargrett was shot near 1:30 a.m. Saturday at a home along Hayes Street, according to police and DA Marian Ryan. Authorities did not immediately announce any arrests after the incident.

Hargrett's death is the second homicide in Framingham this year. Jasmyn Beatty, 28, was found dead inside her home at the Halstead Apartments in May. Beatty suffered visible trauma, according to authorities, but no arrests have been made since her death.

Hargrett was a Concord Street resident, and had several criminal charges in his past, according to court records. He was one of two people charged in a 2010 Ashland robbery, according to published reports.

Three other killings happened in Framingham in recent years. Father and son James Wade, 24, and James "Manny" Wade, 45, were shot and killed in January 2020. Aneudy Delgado-Torres was arrested in Marlborough and charged in the killings several days later.

Jamee Ammons-Maddrey, 27, was stabbed to death in her Interfaith Terrace apartment in October 2019. Her estranged boyfriend, Christopher McKoy, was arrested and charged after her death.
