FRAMINGHAM, MA — MWRTA on Wednesday launched a new shuttle designed to take shoppers to three major local grocery stores.

The "4 Grocery" shuttle will run hourly between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. to carry shoppers from the Framingham hub to the Market Basket in Ashland, Roche Bros. in Natick, and the Wegman's at the Natick Mall.

MWRTA has emphasized that the shuttle is only temporary, and that it should be used for essential trips only. You can find a full schedule with all available stops on the MWRTA website.

The transit agency is also urging all riders to wear a face covering and gloves while riding the bus. Framingham has ordered residents to cove their face while out in public. MWRTA stopped collecting bus fare on April 6 in an effort to cut down on public contact with bus drivers.
