New Bubble Tea Spot Planned In Framingham
Kalasha will be located at the Trolley Square Plaza near the Centre Common area.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Framingham shopping plaza that's home to some of the city's best restaurants may soon get a little sweeter.
Restaurateur Ashley Chen is planning to open Kalasha, a bubble tea spot and more, at the Trolley Square Plaza, home to Aoi, Lavender Too, Kugel's Deli and Bazaar West. Kalasha will take over the space at the rear side of the plaza that was home to Rasoi Gourmet Indian Kitchen — that restaurant opened in the mid-90s, but closed in 2018.
The Kalasha menu will feature more than 40 different bubble tea types, from Oolong milk tea to strawberry cheese foam. Chen told the Board of License Commissioners last week that she'll also serve a variety of non-tea dishes, including Korean-style fried chicken, dumplings and different types of savory pancakes.
