New Leaders Take Over Framingham Cultural Council

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Cultural Council recently picked new leaders to oversee grant funding for the remainder of 2021 and through 2022.
The council's new chair is Mauricio Perea, a member of the Autism Alliance of MetroWest. The new Vice Chair is Leslie White Harvey, who was elected on Nov. 2 to the Library Board of Trustees.
The cultural council also picked Stephanie Jean Noel as the new clerk, and Cindy Walsh as the new treasurer.

Framingham is getting about $38,000 from the state Cultural Council. The money will be awarded to local artists and cultural groups for projects across the city. About 40 people and organizations have applied for funding for 2022, and the Framingham Cultural Council will be charged with divvying up the money.
