New Police Chief Comes To Framingham State University
The top law enforcement and safety officer on the campus brings more than three decades of experience to the job.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — There’s a new police chief at Framingham State University, but he’s no stranger to the city.
Philip Di Blasi has joined FSU after serving four years as police chief at another area school, MassBay Community College. While there, he helped grow the police force from five to 11 members, according to a letter posted on FSU’s social media feed. He also worked closely with first responders in Framingham, where MassBay has one of its three campuses.
Di Blasi’s law enforcement career began in 1994, and includes roles at Wellesley College and Suffolk University. At Wellesley, he rose from lieutenant to acting police chief, and co-chaired the college’s Emergency Management Group.
