New Theatre Company's Inaugural Season Begins!

Framingham's newly-formed theatre company, A Common Thread Theatre, showcased it's inaugural season last night with it's benefit production of Jason Robert Brown's beloved and well-known musical: The Last Five Years.

The Last Five Years is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, the show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

Last night's audience was visibly moved as they we swept into the ups and downs of Cathy and Jamie's relationship-- both the laughter and the heartbreak. You will become swept away by these two characters as they take you on their five year journey.

If you would like to experience this show for yourself-- and you should --you have 3 more chances! I highly suggest checking out this event. Not only will you enjoy a night of theatre, but you will also be helping to raise money to make the performing arts accessible and affordable in your community, and to assist A Common Thread Theatre in it's mission to bring something new and exciting to Framingham and the Greater Boston community!
