'Next Generation' Dunkin' Grand Opening In Framingham
Win free coffee for a year and get a glimpse at the future of Dunkin' during a grand opening in Framingham on Friday.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Have you ever wondered what a Dunkin' coffee shop might look like in the future? Maybe not, but a new type of Dunkin' store will debut in Framingham on Friday.
A "next generation" Dunkin' at 3 Nicholas Road will hold a grand opening starting at 5 a.m. Friday. In addition to experiencing the future of Dunkin', the first 100 customers will win free coffee for an entire year.
"Guests at the newest New Generation location will experience various exciting elements of the modern next generation design, including a cold beverage tap system," a press release about the new store reads.

The next-gen concept has been around for a while. The first one debuted in Quincy (the birthplace of Dunkin' Donuts in 1950) in January 2018. The new stores feature taps for cold tea and coffee drinks, digital kiosks, and a drive-thru focused on mobile ordering — although the new Framingham store in the Saxonville area does not have a drive-thru.
