'No Credible Threat' To Framingham Schools Amid Wave Of Online Threats
Framingham police said they received information about a "non-specific, online threat to schools," but haven't identified a real threat.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Schools have been closed in South Jersey, North Texas, the Twin Cities and beyond due to online threats made against them. Those threats have been heard locally, too, but Framingham police said they've yet to identify a credible one.
On Wednesday, police shared that they, along with other communities, "received information about a non-specific, online threat to schools that has been circulating."
"At this time there is no credible threat," police said.

However, police said they will also investigate threats of this nature and said residents can call 508-872-1212 if they receive or see information about a potential threat.
This new wave of online threats comes after the shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georiga. Two students and two teachers were killed in that shooting. A 14-year-old student is set to be charged as an adult on suspicion of murder, and his father faces multiple charges related to the shooting.
