NY Man Charged After Framingham 100 MPH Speeding Incident

State police saw the 23-year-old speeding and weaving across traffic. He was found illegally carrying a gun, police said.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — State police arrested and charged a Long Island man on Tuesday after he was seen speeding and driving dangerously along the Mass Pike — and was later found illegally carrying a gun.

A trooper first noticed the man's white Mercedes sedan weaving across all three lanes in Framingham, and the man sped up to about 100 mph when the trooper tried to pull him over.

The driver sped off the highway at Route 30 near the Natick line. The driver then tried to get back on the Mass Pike before he pulled over, state police said in a news release. While talking to the 23-year-old, a trooper noticed a black bag in the car, which contained a .45 caliber handgun.

The Holbrook, N.Y., man was charged with unlawful possession of a gun, unlawful possession of a loaded gun, speeding, a marked lanes violate and possessing ammunition without a license.
