New Community Behavioral Health Center To Open In Framingham
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Advocates Community Health Center is scheduled for Feb. 15. Here's what to know.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Advocates is hosting an Open House and ribbon-cutting for the Framingham Community Behavioral Health Center, officials from the organization said.
The event is scheduled for Feb. 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. at 1094 Worcester Rd., and will showcase a new facility
“The need for mental health and substance use services is great, and we’ll now be able to respond even more effectively, when and where people need support,” said a spokesperson for Advocates.

In July 2022, Advocates announced a new community health center in Waltham, expanding their footprint in the Boston metro. It opened on Jan. 3, as did a temporary Framingham location.
That CBHC is part of a state initiative designed to provide accessible and equitable mental health care, including to people in crisis who otherwise would seek care in a hospital emergency department.

The facility was set to open in January 2023 and serve 31 communities in Eastern and Central Massachusetts. It will operate among a statewide network of 25 centers that will help meet the growing demand for behavioral health care caused, in part, by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
