Restaurant Gave Away $180,000 to Customers

Samba Steak & Sushi gave away $180,000 in gift cards to loyal customers, last month as part of thank you promotion.

The Route 9 Framingham restaurant ran a customer appreciation promotion to thank all its customers for their patience while they were closed.

Samba's closed in January when its pipes froze. It re-opened  in February.

The Route 9 restaurant, between Feb. 22-28 matched a customer's dinner bill with a gift card in the same amount.

For example, if a customer spent $100, they received a $100 gift certificate. Spent $250, received a $250 gift certificate.
