Woman Hit on Route 9, Suffers Non-Fatal Injuries

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Friday evening shutting down Route 9 for hours.

Route 9 westbound in Framingham was shut down for a couple of hours Friday evening after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

A 50-year-old woman was hit in the area of Prospect Street. She suffered what are believed to be non-life-threatening head injuries and was transported to UMass Medical Center in Worcester.

Route 9 was clear around 8 p.m.
