FRAMINGHAM, MA — The "kind and generous" spirit of Framingham High School graduate Connor Neshe will live on through a scholarship in his name. Neshe, 18, died unexpectedly at Springfield College in October.

The $5,000 scholarship will be given to students with a GPA higher than 3.0 who are in financial need, and who plan to study a "helping profession," like physical therapy. The Framingham High School Scholarship Committee will pick the winner.

"During his time at FHS Connor was an integral part of the men’s tennis team, robotics team, and served as a tutor at the ADC. He was known for his kind and generous spirit. These are some of the qualities that are being looked for in candidates for this scholarship," a description of the scholarship reads.

Neshe died in his sleep of an unknown medical condition on Oct. 20, according to his obituary. He was only a freshman at Springfield College, but his death was felt across the campus. He was sidelined on the tennis team due to a hamstring injury early on — but he was remembered for the huge amount of support he gave his teammates.

Applications for the scholarship are due by March 1, according to documents sent to the Framingham School Committee.
