FRAMINGHAM, MA — There was an additional police presence at Framingham Public Schools on Friday, but police said it was out of an abundance of caution, and not because of an actual threat.

Police had the additional presence after a report of shots fired around 10:50 p.m. on Thursday in the Mansfield Street and Pond Street area of the city.

Officers recovered evidence from the scene, and believe the incident "involves juveniles," but wasn't related to safety at area schools.
