True to its name, the Edgell Road eatery is offering a blend of Asian, Mediterranean and European dishes.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A new restaurant in Framingham will host a grand opening on Friday evening, offering a sampling of dishes spanning Asia to Europe that fit with the eatery's theme.

Silk Road Bistro, 1 Edgell Road, will offer a variety of dishes that trace the historical trading route, from Szechuan tofu to Italian pasta fagioli soup.

"Join us on a gastronomic journey that spans centuries and half of the globe, from China in the east to Persia in the west, and all the way to the Mediterranean in the middle, along the historic network of trade routes known as the Silk Road," the restaurant says on its website.
