Stapleton Elementary Vice Principal Steps Down
Stapleton Principal Anne Diaz announced that Carrigo Das will leave the school in a letter to parents Friday morning.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Stapleton Elementary's vice principal is leaving the job and will be replaced by an Office of Teaching and Learning leader. Stapleton Principal Anne Diaz announced the change in a letter to parents Friday morning.
Outgoing vice principal Carrigo Das will be replaced by Framingham Assistant Director of Elementary Education Brenda Maurao, who has been working at the school during Diaz' recent absence.
Diaz said she will begin looking for a permanent replacement for Das in the spring.

"Ms. Maurao has been a dedicated educator for over twenty years, serving as building principal for Stall Brook Elementary School in Bellingham, Massachusetts from 2017-2018 and assistant principal at Miller Elementary School in Holliston, Massachusetts from 2012-2017. Prior to being a building administrator, she was a classroom teacher for fourteen years. She is passionate about making learning accessible for all, fostering a 'can-do' growth mindset culture in education that encourages thoughtful risk-taking and keeping joy alive in schools," Diaz wrote in her letter to parents.
Maurao began her new job at Stapleton on Friday and will remain for the rest of the school year, Diaz said.
