State Trooper Dies During Physical Training
The 31-year-old trooper, off duty at the time of his death, served in the Framingham Barracks.

A 31-year-old State Trooper died early Wednesday while performing physical training, State Police said. The trooper, who will not be identified tonight, was off duty at the time.
Police say the trooper was transported to Framingham Union Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The U.S. Air Force veteran was a member of the 80th Recruit Training Troop, and became a Massachusetts State Trooper upon his graduation in October 2011.

The trooper was assigned to the Framingham Barracks as a member of the Division of Field Services.
"The State Police express our gratitude to the Framingham Police officers, firefighters and ambulance personnel who responded to the Trooper’s medical emergency, and to the emergency room staff at Framingham Union Hospital," police said. "All of them tried valiantly to save his life."

The trooper is survived by his wife, father, sister and in-laws.
