Support Karen Kelly and Her Family As She Battles Cancer
A co-worker of Karen Kelly started a GoFundMe account to help Kelly and her Framingham family.

In 2008, Karen Kelly began battling breast cancer. Today, she continues that battle.
This week, one of her co-workers at CSG, started a GoFund Me campaign to help her and her Framingham family.
“Karen Kelly is the kind of person that you want to know and are inspired by on a daily basis. She is a fighter that never gives up,” wrote Sharon Gilbert, of Framingham, one of Kelly’s co-workers. ”She is not just a co-worker she is a friend to everyone.”

Gilbert, who is known to many in town as the founder of Timothy’s Toy Box, started the fund on December 16 with a goal of raising $20,000.
“Although Karen has had to go for many tests, radiation and chemotherapy each week over the past few years she still managed to come to work each day and worked full time up until Thanksgiving. She always wanted to be sure that everyone at CSG was well taken care of. Now, it is time for us to take care of Karen and her family,” wrote Gilbert.

Karen’s husband Scott and their daughter Jessica, 13, will be in need of help to pay for expenses as well as Jessica’s education, wrote Gilbert.
“My niece attends Cameron Middle and Karen volunteered at Stapleton Elementary,” when she was there, said Colleen Kelly Hildreth to Patch.
“Karen has worked so hard to help provide for her family and we would like to help her have peace of mind at this very difficult time,” wrote Gilbert.
In just two days, 63 people have raised almost $6,000 as of midnight today, Dec. 19.
