'Suspicious Death' Investigation Underway In Framingham

A man was found dead inside a Fenwick Street residence on Wednesday with "apparent trauma to his body." Details remain sparse.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — An anonymous tip to Framingham police on Wednesday evening led them to a residence on Fenwick Street. What they found has sparked an investigation.

A call was put in to the police around 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Officials arrived at the home to find a dead man inside with "apparent trauma to his body," officials said.

A search warrant was executed at the home later that evening, though officials haven't released details about what was found.

"The case has been referred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner which is expected to conduct an autopsy today to make a positive identification and to determine the cause of death," the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office said.

Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker also issued a brief video addressing the investigation, noting that there is no reason to believe the public is in any danger.
