Ted 2 Filming in Framingham Again Today

Signs began appearing this morning that Ted 2 is filming in Framingham again.

Film crews were at the Mass Pike rest stop on August 14, with star Mark Wahlberg and the big bear, filming scenes for the movie.

According to residents in that Framingham neighborhood, filming is taking place at the rest stop again today. Residents were not notified ahead of time of the filming for today.

The sequel, starring Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried and Seth MacFarlane, as the voice of Ted, the bear, is expected to be in theaters in 2015.

McFarlane is also the producer of Ted 2, which stars Wahlberg as John Bennett, whose teddy bear Ted has come to life.

In Ted 2, Bennett’s friendship is “tested” when his girlfriend of four years wants more from their relationship, according to IMDB.

Ted was the highest-grossing R-rated film in 2012.

Wahlberg and Seyfied and the stuffed bear - Ted - were in a car on a trailer on the Mass Pike earlier this month. It is unknown who will be in town today for filming.

Film crews began setting up at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 27. Filming was expected to start at 1 p.m.

Framingham has seen several television and film crews in the last year.

Last November, Vince Vaughn filmed scenes for the movie The Business Trip in Framingham.

In March, NBC filmed a TV pilot starring former Nurse Jackie and Twilight saga actor Peter Facinelli and actor Treat Williams in Framingham.​
