TJX Employee Caught Stealing in Theft Sting: Framingham Police

A janitor at TJX in Framingham is facing charges after video surveillance showed him stealing from the office.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Rhode Island man is facing theft charges after authorities say he stole an iPad intentionally left in an office as part of a theft sting at the company.

Luis A. Correa, 34, of Woonsocket, RI, works as a janitor at TJX Corp. in Framingham, and was spotted on security cameras taking the iPad that was intentionally left out by Framingham police, reports the Telegram and Gazette.

Earlier this year, employees reported that video equipment had been stolen, prompting the cameras to be set up in the same room where the equipment had been, reports MetroWest Daily News. The app was then used to trace Correa. He's being charged with larceny of property worth more than $250.
