Two Framingham Restaurants have Closed: Firefly's and Green Chili

Firefly's BBQ Restaurant has closed. Tuesday was its last day open.

A message on its phone says "Sorry to announce the Firefly's in Framingham has closed."

The phone message thanks customers for the "9 great years of patronage" and suggests customers visit the original Firefly's - and only Firefly's left open - in Marlborough.

Firefly's has now closed all of its locations except for its original one.

This is the second Framingham restaurant to close in the last month.

Earlier, Green Chili, in Saxonville at the Pinefield Plaza, closed its doors.

Owner and chef Anthony Gomes, who served an eclectic mix breakfast, South and North Indian cuisine and American food. Green Chili opened in January 2010.

A Framingham Patch reader tells us Gomes is still doing catering, but when you call the phone number it says it has been disconnected.
