FRAMINGHAM, MA — For a limited time only, a Union Avenue bridge north of downtown Framingham will reopen to two-way traffic.

In July, the public works department shut down the southbound lane of the bridge near Mt. Wayte Avenue for repairs. Traffic was detoured to Franklin Street, but northbound lanes remained open.

The city reopened that southbound lane on Thursday night until spring, when construction work on the bridge will resume.
