Bower said the market was a neighborhood institution known for its customer service.

Bower said during the 1970s, the Cintolos provided groceries for home economics classes at Framingham High. Framingham Selectman Cheryl Tully Stoll said that included her.

And during the Blizzard of 1978, Bower said Cintolo’s Market was one of the few stores still open and that the Framingham Fire department stopped by for needed supplies.
