Voices of Time With Alan James Patterson

Tune-In Wednesdays from 2-5 p.m.

Voices of time with Alan James Patterson has been the only flagship show on wednesday afternoons on www.bostonfreeradio.com; Host Alan James Patterson has been doing his shows on the air since 2014 and has an ecclectic variety of music material playing throughout his shows, he doesn't just focus in on one specific genre of music, he actually takes the time to formulate his playlist in advance and also has friends and listeners of his show contribute song ideas as well to his playlist.

Alan has interviewed some of rock's legendary performers of the sixties such as Howard Kalan of the Turtles, Bobby Hart who was half of the duo who co-wrote, produced, and even played on some of the biggest songs of the sixties pop band The Monkees, and even most recently Alan interviewed baseball legend Bill Lee of the Boston Red Sox just to name a few. Voices Of TIme pulls from all the different sources of music such as spoken word, R&B, garage rock, Psychedelic rock, classic rock, early country such as Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline etc., soul, jazz, power pop, and much much more, you never know what to expect to be hearing with voices of time which is what a true free form radio show is expected to be in this case. Patterson bases his show and tries to make it similar sounding to some of the more national free form styled shows like Little Steven's Undergrround Garage which is in world wide syndication on the radio, and also Anything Anything with host Rich Russo out of New Jersey which can also be found on oston Free Radio and many other stations as well in syndication these are just a few free form shows Alan likes to take a similar page from but makes his shows his own nothing exactly like Rich Russo and Little Steven, but nevertheless always something fun and always something to learn from music history throughout the program.
