What's The 'State' Of Framingham? New Mayor Will Deliver Answer

Mayor Charlie Sisitsky will make the first State of the City Address of his new term, and his fifth such speech overall.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Fresh from reelection, Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky plans to deliver the first State of the City address of his new term on Thursday.

No audience will attend the annual speech, which Sisitsky is recording in advance. It will air at 7 p.m. Jan. 29 via the city's Government Channel.

The mayor, who began his second term Jan. 1, said he will discuss his vision, priorities and plans for Framingham, while reflecting on accomplishments during his first four years in office.

Sisitsky was reelected in November with roughly 5,300 votes out of 9,500 cast.

He's the first mayor to win a second term since Framingham adopted a city charter in 2018. Sisitsky previously served as a town selectman for 20 years. A Framingham resident since 1971, he worked as a planning director in Medford and Natick.
