Who Can Eat A 2-Pound Taco Faster? Police And Firefighters Battle It Out For #WhyNotDevin
Framingham's police and fire departments take part in Battle of the Badges for six-year-old Devin Suau, who battles a rare cancer.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—Ever wonder whether Framingham's firefighters can run quicker than its police officers? Are you curious who would win in an arm wrestle? A triathlon? Of course not. Like us, you've long wondered which one can eat a two-pound taco quicker.
Your wish is coming true on Wednesday, Oct. 4 (which happens to be National Taco Day), at Margaritas for the third annual Battle of the Badges, and they couldn't be overeating and eating too fast for a better cause. This friendly competition between the Framingham Fire Department and the Framingham Police Department is to benefit Devin Suau.
In January of this year, Suau fell off his snowboard and while at the doctor for a possible concussion, it was discovered he had Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). "DIPG is a very rare type of pediatric cancer that is aggressive and unforgiving," writes James Suau on the Facebook #WhyNotDevin Facebook group page. "Tragically, because of its location, the tumor is inoperable and has no known cure. Devin’s family was told he likely has somewhere between 8 months to 2 years to live."

The community has rallied around the spirited boy and his family, a GoFundMe page set up and many fundraisers have taken place. Mayor Marty Walsh recently declared Oct. 27 Devin Suau Day in Boston.
