4 Easy Ways to Recycle
Grafton woman who serves on a state board offers suggestions.

Stephanie Collins-Rankin has dedicated her life to recycling. She was recently elected for a two-year term on the MassRecycle board.
She offered these four tips to help people recycle. To learn more about her, see http://patch.com/A-j37q.
1) Set a personal challenge for yourself.

Set your own goals on recycling at home, such as composting. “You can do this
as a family or a group project,” she said.
2) Get creative.
See if an item you want to throw out has another purpose. “You can turn an old
bucket or tote bin into a pot for tomato plants,” said Collins-Rankin.

3) Ask yourself the big questions.
Think it over before you have to throw something out. “Ask yourself, Do I have
to throw this away? Is this necessary?” said Collins-Rankin.
4) If you’re not sure what to do, then ask someone else.
If you don’t know if an item can be recycled, then ask an expert. “We can make
suggestions [for you], and we are always looking for new challenges,” she said.
