GRAFTON, MA — Grafton police responded to dozens of emergencies and disturbances while conducting hundreds of traffic stops in August.
The Grafton Police Department recorded a combined 31 arrests or criminal summonses, 259 motor vehicle stops and 308 citations during the month, according to figures released by Grafton police. Officers also responded to 31 motor vehicle crashes.
Police took 108 incident reports and responded to 39 disturbances, 60 alarms and 60 medical emergencies.
The monthly totals included nine reports of identity theft or fraud, nine calls for mental health or crisis assistance and three breaking-and-entering cases.
The statistics summarize police activity and do not provide details about individual cases or the outcomes of criminal charges. The department also publishes weekly police logs, with reporting periods ending Fridays at 7 a.m.
