• Former Grafton selectman pleads guilty to defrauding cannabis investors (telegram.com) — A former Grafton Select Board chair has pleaded guilty to federal wire fraud and unlawful monetary transaction charges tied to a cannabis venture that involved permitting in Grafton and Mendon. Prosecutors say he misused investor funds and even paid off overdue Grafton property taxes, while a plea deal could bring a 15‑month prison term at his December sentencing.
   

• Amazon drones coming soon? Company to host meeting in Westborough (telegram.com) — Amazon is advancing plans for drone deliveries from its Westborough distribution center, and the proposed 7½‑mile service radius would include parts of Grafton. Local officials and residents are weighing noise, privacy, and safety concerns, with Amazon hosting a community meeting to explain how the MK30 drones work and address questions about their impact on nearby towns.
