GRAFTON, MA — A familiar voice in Grafton's emergency communications center is taking on a new role in the community.
Officer Molly Callaghan has joined the Grafton Police Department after graduating from the Municipal Police Training Committee's Marlborough Police Academy, the department announced Wednesday. Callaghan has begun a 14-week field training program, during which she will work alongside experienced department training officers.
Callaghan graduated with the academy's second Recruit Officer Course. The class included 57 officers representing 35 Massachusetts law enforcement agencies. Recruits completed more than 20 weeks and 800 hours of training before the state announced their graduation Oct. 23.
Callaghan previously worked as a Grafton 911 dispatcher. She was appointed to the full-time position in July 2025, according to town records.
She also previously worked at a district attorney's office, where she gained experience with the criminal justice process, according to Grafton police.
To our Grafton neighbors: you may see Officer Callaghan out and about. Please give her a warm Grafton welcome," Grafton police wrote in the announcement. "Say hello, introduce yourself, and help her get to know the community she's proud to serve."
