With wedding season upon us, American Consumer Credit Counseling- a 501(c)3 organization that provides free financial counseling to consumers- is launching a survey in an attempt to find out how other people’s weddings are affecting your finances. The survey is part of an initiative started in January 2012 to provide consumers with relevant and targeted financial information.
Every month, ACCC puts out a web survey that polls consumers on a variety of financial education, budgeting and planning topics, ranging from college loans to debt repayment. This month, in honor of the aforementioned wedding season, ACCC’s poll will focus on financial issues associated with weddings. ACCC encourages consumers to participate in the poll, which asks if you have ever declined a wedding invitation. The survey can be found at ConsumerCredit.com. ACCC will post these polls and the results on their website and Facebook page.
In addition to the polls, ACCC also offers a variety of financial education, counseling and debt management services to help consumers achieve long-term financial health and stability. These educational programs help consumers to better understand and manage their finances, so they can attend all those weddings while still maintaining fiscal security.
