FUNDRAISER EVENT TO SUPPORT BOSTON ONE FUND, SATURDAY MAY 11

NORTHBOROUGH – May 06, 2013 – Studio Joy, Mindful Meditation and Malu Doherty Yoga are holding a fundraiser event on Saturday, May 11 from 2 pm to 5 pm at 40 Church Street (First Parish Unitarian Church Hall) in Northborough to help support the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. Studio Joy will be holding a Nia class; Malu Doherty will be offering a Kripalu yoga class; and Liz Rosseel a meditation class. Come for one or all classes. These strong local area businesses have come together to help support the victims of the Boston Marathon. Their practices of Nia, Kripalu Yoga and Meditation are powerful tools that can greatly benefit people with their healing journey. “The healing process is a big step and if there’s anything we can do to help, we’re delighted to be able to”, said Jenny Silverberg co-owner of Studio Joy.  Much of Doherty’s Kripalu yoga practice focuses around health and wellbeing - “having the opportunity to be able to support this important cause is truly an honor”, said Doherty. Mindful Meditation helps people deal with loss and health crisis offering a path to healing and self-acceptance. “I’m thrilled to be partnering with Malu and Studio Joy to bring our community together to support the victims and their families as they begin the healing process”, said Liz Rosseel of Mindful Meditation.

ABOUT MINDFUL MEDITATION

Mindful Meditation offers students a powerful way to find peace and relaxation and a gentle and nourishing path to healing and self-acceptance in the practice of Vipassana meditation. Liz Rosseel has been studying meditation for over 20 years and has furthered her practice by attending a variety of meditation classes, workshops and retreats at Barre Insight Meditation Center, Kripalu, The Cambridge Insight Meditation Center and other teaching centers throughout New England.  In 2002, in the aftermath of 9/11, Liz and a fellow meditator formed a weekly meditation circle that has met in various configurations for the last 10 years.
