Grafton Girl, Rachel Sibley, Makes New England Rev Girl Finals in Rhode Island

The Rev Girl Finals will be held at Rí Rá Irish Pub in Providence, RI from 9:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 7, to help determine the 2013 promotional team for the New England Revolution. Ten local women, including Rachel Sibley of Grafton, MA, made it to the final round of the Providence auditions, where three will be selected by an esteemed panel of guest judges to join returning members on the Rev Girls team.  The judging panel will include WPRI Rhode Show host, Will Gilbert; Providence Journal reporter, Jenna Pelletier; Miss Rhode Island, Kelsey Fournier; and PRO-FM radio personality, Jessica Schiano. Rhode Island comedian, Bill Simas will serve as the event’s emcee.

Rev Girls serve as the Revolution’s official promotional team, making appearances throughout the year at home games, community and charity events, photo shoots and other promotional events. The auditions will be made up of three competition rounds, including Revolution trivia, a Q&A session about each finalist, and crowd giveaways to judge fan-interaction skills.

This event is open to the public, ages 21 and older. The event will be held in conjunction with the team’s previously scheduled Pub Tour stop (7-9 p.m.), when fans will get the opportunity to meet the team’s newest players and mingle with their favorite stars in a casual setting. Scheduled to appear: Kalifa Cisse, Ryan Guy, Dimitry Imbongo, Saer Sene and Bobby Shuttleworth.

The New England Revolution kick-off its 2013 home schedule on March 23^rd at Gillette Stadium as they take on Sporting Kansas City.
