Grafton walkers honored as Pacesetters, 2012 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk raised nearly $7 million

GRAFTON, Mass. — Seven Grafton residents were recently honored as Pacesetters for the 2012 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai. Pacesetters are dedicated walkers who last year raised at least $1,250 each for Dana-Farber. The Grafton Pacesetters laced up their sneakers and collectively raised nearly $13,200 of the nearly $7 million in last year’s Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk, which supports adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

On March 10, the Pacesetters were recognized at the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk’s Extra Mile Brunch at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. In 2012, 1,386 of the 8,000 walkers achieved Pacesetter status.
