Blackstone Valley Pop Warner~Football & Cheer~ Registration Date

The start of the 2016 football season is right around the corner, and the Blackstone Valley Pop Warner family, looks forward to seeing you out on the fields. BVPW’s last in person registration will be held at the Northbridge Town Hall Tuesday June 21st 4 – 6 pm

BVPW offers football and cheerleading to kids ages 5-15, and is open to kids in Northbridge, Uxbridge, Grafton, Mendon Upton & Sutton, as well as surrounding towns that do not have a Pop Warner program.

At Blackstone Valley Pop Warner, safety is always our NUMBER ONE priority. Kids compete with kids of similar age and size. We set and enforce a strict age & weight matrix that reduces the risk and reality of injuries while maximizing safe and balanced competition. Unlike programs that group children by age without any size protection, we are able to address the unique attributes and needs of every player to determine the best and safest team for him or her. Pop Warner operates under the guidance of a National Medical Advisory Committee led by physicians with expertise in neuromedicine and sports safety. Under their direction, Pop Warner became the first youth sports organization to limit contact during practices.

Blackstone Valley Pop Warner, along with the rest of the Pop Warner family, have partnered with USA Football to ensure that everyone is educated on the importance of safety in youth sports, especially with regards to head injuries and concussion. This is one of the reasons we value the weight matrix.
