He displayed his skills during field testing Friday at to teach fraud investigators what a real crash looks like. This helps them ferret out fraud.
The event was hosted by the New England Association of Insurance Fraud Investigators and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council.
The event includes staged collisions conducted by Haight, Director of Collision Safety Institute, and controlled car burning, supervised by Dennis Lyons, President of S.D. Lyons Automotive Forensics.

LyonsΒ is an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician, Master Auto Body and Paint Technician, and a Master Engine Machinist. He is also a Certified Forensic Locksmith, a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator, and a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator.
