Discover the Fun at Karen Amlaw Music in Downtown Crossing in Westborough
Piano lessons, Kids on Keys (group instruction for 4 - 8 yr olds), Summer Singing Weeks, the Young Musicians' Recital Series and more!
In February 2016, after almost 10 years as a lessee of studio #5 at Robinson Music Inc., Karen Amlaw Music relocated to Suite 203 in Downtown Crossing - 57 East Main Street, Westborough, MA 01581. Robinson Music, Westborough's family owned and operated music store, had been acquired by a national chain and it was time to move on to somewhere where Karen Amlaw Music could expand. The new 711 sq. ft. space serves as both a lesson studio and small recital space seating about 40 with a beautiful rebuilt Ivers and Pond baby grand piano along with 5 keyboards. The current space also includes a small waiting / reception area. Future plans include the addition of more studios and the expansion of instruments offered - stay tuned for more exciting news about those offerings later this summer.
Since 2005 Karen Amlaw (a.k.a. Miss Karen) has been bringing quality music to students of Westborough, Northborough, Southborough, Marlborough, Shrewsbury, Boylston, Holliston, Hopkinton, Millbury, Milford, Upton, Ashland, Grafton, Worcester, and beyond. In addition to private piano lessons, Karen Amlaw Music offers Kids on Keys (group music instruction for 4 - 8 year olds), Children's Summer Singing Weeks, Young Musicians' Recitals, and more. Almost a hundred students currently attend lessons and classes at Karen Amlaw Music.
As of April 2016 Karen Amlaw Music has expanded to its hours - lessons are now offered on Mondays from 3 - 7 PM, Tuesdays - Fridays from 3 - 9 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM - 1:30 PM. Young Musicians' Recitals, as well as other performances will take place on various Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.
