Animal Matters Lecture Series

Each spring and fall, the Center invites speakers from all over the country to give a lecture on their subject of expertise.

All lectures will be held at noon at the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine campus in Grafton at the Agnes Varis Lecture Hall. Members of the public are invited.

    Jackie Sleeper
    Director of Certification Certified Humane
    Ms. Sleeper is an Honors graduate of Oregon State University's Animal Science Department with an emphasis on Animal Behavior and Bioethics. Growing up on a multi-species farm in the Pacific Northwest, she gained extensive experience with livestock and poultry species. As the Director of Certification at Humane Farm Animal Care, Sleeper puts her experience and education to good use as she oversees the inspection and certification process, assists producers, works with the HFAC scientific committee, and leads the inspector training program.
