Free Concert

Free Concert May 18 as part of the historical celebration


The Unitarian Universalist Society of Grafton and Upton at Two Grafton Common in Grafton, MA will host youth bands and a jazz quintet following the Civil War monument rededication on May 18, 2013.


The concert is part of the 150th Anniversary of One Grafton Common and UUSGU. Both buildings were rebuilt in 1863 after a devastating fire. Featured will be talented young local musicians, under the direction of Upton music teacher Bob Nicoll.

The band Uncontrollable Youth, whose members range in age from 12-14, will perform a variety of songs that include original compositions. The Nonagons are a fun cover band made up of 11 year-olds from the area.


Rounding out the performance will be a jazz quintet, featuring professional musicians Bob Nicoll and Barry Hall, who are members of UUSGU.

The concert will begin at approximately 2pm, following the rededication of the Civil War monument.  It is open to public. There is no admission charge.
