Expanded Programming On Grafton Community Television’s Government Channel


GRAFTON: Grafton Community Television continues to expand programming on its Government Channel - Charter Channel 192 / Verizon Channel 33.

GCTV now has two rooms outfitted in the Grafton Municipal Center for broadcast quality programming - Studio A on the first floor and Studio F on the second floor. Studio A, the former Selectmen’s meeting room, is the site of live broadcasts of Board of Selectmen meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of each month beginning at 7:00 PM. The Grafton Planning Board is broadcast live from Studio A on the 2nd and 4th Monday evenings of each month, also at 7:00 PM.
School Committee meetings continue to be taped for rebroadcast from Studio F and from on-site locations throughout the community school system.

GCTV staff members Bill Robidoux, Richard Schultze and Bob DeToma are assigned to staff videotaping of these meetings and also post produce the video for rebroadcast on cable television and on GCTV’s Video on Demand system.

In addition to Selectmen, Planning Board and School Committee meetings, during the first five months of 2015, meetings of the Board of Health, the Library Trustees, the Grafton Town House Oversight Committee, the Affordable Housing Trust, the Conservation Commission, the Finance Committee, the Community Preservation Committee, the Economic Development Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Capital Planning Committee have all been taped, rebroadcast, and are available on the GCTV Video on Demand system. Joint meetings of the Selectmen, Planning Board, Finance Committee and Economic Development Commission have been filmed along with all of the Finance Committee budget hearings leading up to the Annual Town Meeting in May. The Special Town Meeting in March and the Annual Town Meeting in May were both telecast live and made available for rebroadcast.

Grafton Community Television provides programming on three distinct public access channels in the Town of Grafton over the Charter Communications and the Verizon cable systems. Monthly schedules for Grafton Community Television Channels can be found at www.GraftonTV.org . Charter Channel 191/Verizon Channel 34 provides general interest programming, Charter Channel 192/Verizon Channel 33 broadcasts town government programming, and Charter Channel 194 /Verizon Channel 32 features school programming and high school sports events. The Grafton Community Television studios and offices are located at 296 Providence Road in South Grafton.
